Getting Ready for Your Cardiology Visit
Office Cardiac Consultation
Consultations take place either by patient request or referral from another physician.
We will need a list of all current medications and supplements. If the patient prefers, they may bring in their prescription bottles as well.
- A list of your current medications
- Any and all X-rays films from other groups or hospitals
- Insurance information and card
- Information about what treatments and medications have been tried in the past
- Medical records from prior visits that you think may be helpful
We will want to review all social and family history as well as a detail medical history from the patient. We will need a list of all food, drug and environmental allergies.
A complete physical exam will be done, and we will discuss any further testing, diagnosis and treatment options, that is necessary to facilitate the patients care. Please write down any questions you may have in advance so that they may be answered and discussed at the time of your visit.
Hospital Consultations
Consultations take place in the hospital, we respond directly to requests from your physician, family members and or patients requesting a second opinion.
We are available for these consultations 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Please Note:
Because we are well versed. If a test is deemed necessary in a patients diagnoses and treatment plan, we are typically able to perform that test on the spot during the patients visit. We ask that you allow plenty of time in your day for your cardiac consultation.
